One of the most comfortable shoes I have worn...but it is really sad that the very fast wearing of the soles has not been addressed. The traction of these shoes is dangerous in any type of wet conditions. I have had problems with slipping on rocks where others with me had none at all. Even in city walking on sidewalks can be adventure with these shoes. Other than the wear factor and lack of traction they are a great shoe and it is a real shame that it has not been corrected as the new models have come out. I am on my 3rd pair in 1 1/2 years as I had hoped they would be improved. I will not purchase another Keen nor recommend them to others.

I bought these while on a work trip to Las Vegas where i ended up with an unexpected day off and decided to hike Red Rocks Canyon. They had no break in time and still remained comfortable, dry, and didn't cause the usual blisters that a first time use might on a hike this long might cause. I went around 20 miles over 12 hours over rocky mountain terrain and desert without any issue!

I am a moderate weekend hiker/backpacker. These boots are not waterproof and wear out quickly. I had only owned the boots a few weeks before noticing that the right boot leaked. I confirmed this by submerging the boots. The left one was fairly water resistant and the the right boot leaked through immediately. The extent of their hiking usefulness was taking me up Mt. Saint Helen's crater rim trail . About a year and a half after I bought them the seams burst around the toe box. I had to replace the laces which also wore out quickly. I have owned the boots for 3yrs and use them for yard work. Poor construction. Not waterproof, barely water resistant. Soles wear out quickly. Not recommended

I really love these boots. When I bought them I thought I was looking for something different, but these were highly recommended by the sales guy. They felt pretty good in the store and were super light, but what really impressed me was how they felt out on the trail. They are super comfortable even after 6+ miles, and my feet seem to bounce back much quicker than they have with other shoes. The support is also very good. While on a hike today I nearly rolled my ankle more than once, but the supports held me firm. It was raining pretty good during the hike, and I had to cross a stream three times but my feet were perfectly dry. I can't speak to how long they will last, but these shoes are excellent, would be my first choice if I need another pair.
